Testimonials

“My wife decided she wanted a Doula late into pregnancy. As first time parents, we had no idea what we were doing and thought the additional support would be helpful. Right away, Serena felt like a friend and someone we’ve known a long time. She made the process of my wife’s laboring at home to go much more smoothly for both of us, she was just as helpful to me as she was to my wife. Once we arrived at the hospital, I would’ve been lost and much more stressed if it were just the nurses and I. Serena was a constant support throughout the labor and knew all the things to do and say to help my wife (and I). She stuck put the entire 36+ hour labor with us and continues to be a resource for all things baby related. She also makes a mean lasagna. We are very grateful for Serena and will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend”. — Quintin (Doula Client)

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Serena. I started seeing Serena when I was 20 weeks pregnant with my third child. With my first two I never had prenatal massages and the difference was night and day. I ended up seeing Serena every other week through delivery. Her prenatal massages are so relaxing and have lasting effects post massage. I found myself sleeping so much better, having minimum discomfort, and less anxious. I highly recommend Serena’s prenatal massage therapy.” — Cortney ( Massage Client)

“Serena was invaluable to our birth experience and I cannot recommend her enough. As first time parents, we had no idea what we were looking for and where to start. I was referred to Serena by a friend at the very end of my pregnancy. She was willing and excited to jump in at 38 weeks, flexible, communicative, and a huge resource for all of the last minute labor and birth questions throughout the entire process. We had a very very long labor and Serena was by our side the entire time, all day and through the night into the next morning. Her massage experience and calming presence made the labor process and toughest contractions bearable, and it was so helpful to have her there to work with the nurses and communicate our birth plan. My husband was also extremely grateful to have someone with experience with us throughout the process, especially for the long labor at home before heading to the hospital. She was flexible and adaptable when labor plans changed. After the birth, she provided multiple postpartum check-ins and served as a resource for lactation and all general baby questions we had as first time parents. Throughout our experience, Serena has consistently gone above and beyond and continues to be a huge resource for us on all baby related issues. I cannot wait to enlist her for baby number two. Best labor-related investment we made by far”. — Jessica (Doula Client)

“Finding Serena was truly an answered prayer. She was exactly who I needed to provide extra confidence and support around my belief that I could have an amazing and beautiful natural birth. She is so sweet, nurturing, comforting, intuitive, and prepared. Her presence throughout brought such a peace of mind and comfort, and she added so much beauty being a part of the birth story of my daughter.” — Aimie (Doula Client)

“My name is Chris Sturtevant. I am the captain of the USC Men’s Waterpolo Team. I have been playing Waterpolo since I was ten years old and have competed at some of the highest levels for my sport, including playing for one of the most decorated collegiate teams of all time and competing with the British Men’s Waterpolo Team. With playing sports, I recognize that one of the most vital parts of success is recovery. Lucky for me, I have been getting therapy from Serena since I have been in the third grade. Serena is the best at what she does and leaves me feeling completely recovered even after some of the most demanding practices. I owe a large portion of my success in my sport to Serena, and I am lucky to call her not only my therapist but also my friend.” — Chris (Massage Client)
